This was one of my favourite days out when we stayed at Blakeney. We actually went twice, my Brother came and visited the second time we came.

We parked at the Quay and had fish and chips in the yellow restuarant that you can see in the alot of the photo's, it overlooked the Quay and you could see the tide coming in. Then we braved the windy chilly walk along that long path which goes past the new lifeboat station and onto the beach where you see the famous beach houses. Its a beautiful place, at times you don't feel like you are in England, there is an island of land that gets cut off by the tides. The beach backs on to forest.

You can also see in many of the photo's the old Granary building. The green one on stilts sticking out over the road. This was an old building that was used to load grain on the ships I believe, and its now a private residence. A few years ago I was watching one of those programmes where people bought old places and renovated them, and this one was on there, and I saw how lovely it is inside! It apparently sways a bit in the wind. I loved it, how quirky!

I am going to put another video of this day out on my Finley (family) account, because I have some good footage of Steve (my Brother) and Finley (my Son) and also some photo's of the hugest ice cream I have ever eaten!

  • I remember seeing info on a new video you suggested I may like to see but my computer went u/s and I lost my e mail records. Would you let me know again as I enjoy seeing your productions!

  • @ADMIRALSCORNER Thank you, I am struggling right now to find online time, looking forward to see your video's again, you make the kind of tranquil ones that make me want to go there :)

  • Nice to be able to see this part of the country, it looks beautiful in the sunshine!

  • @ADMIRALSCORNER Thank you so much :)

  • You certainly had lovely weather this day Lisa ... what a beautiful blue sky and fluffy white clouds .

The Beach huts look immaculate .... are they all privately owned ??? ..... I dread to think how much they cost to buy ... ( some of the huts at Southwold cost thousands of pounds .. and more !! ) ....

I imagine that the ones in this film are just as expensive .

Another lovely film from you ... nice to see that you did not get cut off by the rising tide !!

  • @hjdnad It looked lovely, we were frozen! We had layers on! Yes I think the huts are privately owned, I bet there is a waiting list too! Thank you for watching xx
