"Outcasts United" A family event at the 9:30 Club 06/20/09

Moms, dads, kids and soccer fans of all ages are invited to join Hooks Book Events for an afternoon with author and New York Times reporter WARREN ST. JOHN, a juggling demonstration by the fabulous Los Angeles-based soccer troupe THE FUTBOLEROS, and a performance by DCs own CHOPTEETH AFROFUNK BIG BAND.

This OUTCASTS UNITED event will benefit the stars of St. Johns book, the FUGEES, a Georgia-based soccer team that overcame enormous odds, and their own circumstances, and taught a small town about the importance of embracing diversity.
