I just moved to Aurora from Tucson and was at a friends house when the sirens started up. No one moved and they said,"Oh, those always go off. There's never any tornados however" and I looked outside and said "Well, what is that frikkin thing then???" I live by Buckley AFB and can barely hear the sirens when they go off. Lovely weather here. 20 belowzero, golf ball hail, tornados, lightening storms, etc. Makes Tucson seem rather tame.

ive noticed that too and i was at my cousin's house when the tornado happened and he lives right next to an elementary school and not one siren went off the entire time. Aurora has sirens but not very many i would suggest to the governor to spend some money on sirens.

I live less then a mile away from southlands, we had our sirens go off. The tornado almost hit my house, if it kept going on it's path. The sky was so dark, you can tell on most videos of it though.

depends apon what part of colorado you live in i live on the edge of golden and heard all the lakewood arvada wheat ridge sirens going off!
I'm absolutely amazed,,, after watching a bunch of videos on this tornado not once is there a tornado siren going off. Check out the Feb tornado that hit Omaha and every video has sirens blaring. I'd be asking questions if I lived in the Aurora CO area. Stay safe folks.

The sirens actually did go off after about 2 minutes, but their pretty far away and didn't pickup on the video camera very well.
