Al, this shows you that jesus is not god or the "father". Many people are called sons and daughters of god in the OT. So, it doesn't have a divine meaning...Jews are called gods. God called Moses a god to Pharaoh. In the Quran, you read, "If you obey the messenger, you have obeyed God". This doesn't mean that the messenger is god. Similarily, those people who obeyed jesus in his life time, obeyed God as they followed their guide or messenger. The people of Moses obeyed God by following Moses!

al, jesus was asked that same question. He said god is 1...he didn't mention the christian addition of trinity. Jesus was like moses..sent to his jewish people to guide them, but they refused him...no trinity...no original sins...those were paul's invention and the other unknown men who made up the writings of the NT, which was decided, not by god himself, but the men of the church..they decided the content of the bible...Jesus was a muslim=submitter to God.He called people to worship god alone.
