  • When Fauré sounds almost like Russian music...dismaying...didn't she learn that the use of portamento is out of style in French music unless written in the score???

    She thinks she can do whatever she wants because she's a star and she gets away with it because Americans know nothing about French music. Please listen to Veronique Gens for a contemporary rendition, and if you're brave enough to go back in the past, you'll find treasures with Regine Crespin, Charles Panzera or Camille Maurane.
