As a promotional opportunity for HBO's, Boardwalk Empire, they decided to run an old 1920's subway train every weekend in September. So here is a short clip of it from 66th St to 72nd St.

  • what speeds do these hit on those express tracks?

  • @2005GLI Not too sure, maybe around 40, 50 MPH

  • Nice and quiet! What did the PA/CIS say? 96 St bound 2?

  • @LIRR175 It was just a conductor shouting out "Train to 96th St. Next stop is ect ect.." Remember these trains don't have PA's, just a conductor shouting out.

  • @Watchthetube2140 PA/CIS is the countdown clocks.

  • @LIRR175 Ohhhh nvm lol.... At 42nd St it said "The train arriving on the uptown express track is not in service." I didn't hear anything at 96th St. The train itself wasn't registered on the board.
