He'd reach 10' in 1948,& keep growing for the next 62yrs! ."Probably" isn't -proven-, & is really "possibly". "Known" to be 9'5" ", is in fact "claimed" or "believed" to be, as Goliath isn't -known- at all. Robert Wadlow may not be the tallest man to ever live, but he's the tallest men KNOWN to ever live, (by far!), until -proven- otherwise.

@lazur1 if golaieth existed that hight would have been taller than golaieth if waldo ever reached 10', golaieth was known to be 9.5" tall, so if waldo was alive today he would have been the tallest man that ever walked our planet but 8'11 inches is hardly the tallest human that ever lived because their wer probably giants back in the day like golaieth and such if they ever existed

Wadlow needed leg braces to stand. Infected injuries from the braces killed him, age 22 & still growing rapidly. A medically-enforced-bedridden Wadlow would've reached 10' by age 30. Angus McAskill ,1825-1863, was 7'9", but very muscular & strong. Perhaps such ancient stock once produced a taller stronger specimen, but I see no current human stock capable of producing it again without a mutli-generational controlled breeding program.
