  • @fabianwseko this is a verbal cue to allow the arms and club to rest naturally at address without manipulation, and as you start the swing, to allow gravity and good rhythm to swing the club rather than placing it in positions. Matt Blois

  • Shawn, perfect video. I love the way you explain things. I need a little help from you. Do you have a training idea for the section in this video from miinute 6.15 to 6.21 Ehen you Switch the hands. I just started golf and I am left handed ;-) Thanks J.

  • @10541 Yes, this pertains to the action to target; what makes the hands lead is the focus of the delivery of the energy or action in the direction you want to start the ball; see "Hammer Through; shawn clement", "throwing the club; shawn clement", Fishing and golf; shawn clement" and "how arms and club release; shawn clement"; Shawn

  • Shawn,

Can you explain' feel the weight of the arm club unit' a bit more please? Is there a total lack of tension in the arms? How can they then be taut?

    Jamesivob

  • @Jamesivob Hey James! Have a look at my "Overswing and Fast backswing; shawn clement" video as well as my "Hammer through", "Feel your swing plane" and "Farm Hammer" videos which talk about how to use the weight of the Arm-Club or arm-hammer units to perform the task; it will clear a few things up for you; Shawn

  • Hi Shawn,

Can you explain a little bit more about, when

you say "feel the weight of arm club unit"?

    thanks

  • Hi Shawn. Huge fan of all your videos. Can you please address the right side in the swing. There is a lot of talk about right side golf these days and it would appear you're teaching a body motion with passive hands. Hogan always said he wished he had 3 right hands. Relating it back to your hammer analogies, if I were swinging a large hammer with two hands and I'm right handed, wouldn't I tend to use that right hand to push the hammer into impact? Wouldn't this be a natural move? Thanks

  • i'd love to try this but my wife would get mad at me for not using the rake to rake the leaves. with my luck i'd let it go and toss it through the window too.

  • Shawn,

How much of your teachings are based from ideas employed by Moe Norman? I have watched a ton of Moe Norman video and think his ideaology was spot on. Second, do you employ the idea of setting up your irons 4-6 inches behind the ball as Moe used to do?

Thanks for all the great videos!!

  • @BradMilligan Ain't that the truth! :)
