A shoulda-been classic...well it is a classic for me! Originally recorded by Sylvester on his 'Too Hot to Sleep' album, this beautiful tune was written by James Wirrick. Jenny's version was produced by John Luongo, and comes from her largely overlooked 'Souvenirs' LP. Background vocals by Danny Madden, Margaret Dorn, and Jenny. The last photo you see is of Jenny with me and my friend Rob --taken in 2002 in New York after her set at B.B. King's.
@4evernate28 - It's not a cover. The same writer (James Wirrick) simply wrote two songs with the same title - so it is two different songs. Occasionally a writer will rearrange an existing song, but still most of the lyrics would remain the same even if there was a different melody. This doesn't seem to be the case. The songs are patently different, only sharing a title.

@4evernate28 this sounds nothing like sylvesters 1981 version

This sounds NOTHING like the Sylvester cut, nor are barely ANY of the lyrics matching. How is this a cover?

this really is an under-appreciated singer! The title track is sweet, the 1st single "Do You Want It Bad Enuff" was off the chain...
