This old Sega Saturn, is still working great... the swap trick works very well. The process is quite tricky but you get used it by the time. You need to make a little transformation to your Saturn, in order to do the swap trick, no worries the process is simple and no need to solder or anything... reed this:

After you modify the CD sensor of your Saturn, now you are ready to do the swap trick: First you need to put the "backup" and press power, then wait until the Access flashing led is gone and extract quickly the backup. Then insert the "original" Saturn CD (Any Saturn CD wiil work fine, but is important to match the region, my Saturn console is JP so i use a JP CD Saturn) here you have to wait the flashing led 3x or maybe 4x and then quickly insert the backup... wait a little and then play!!! This trick only works for Sega Saturn model 1... the swap trick for model 2 is far difficult and can be a pain in the ass.

  • Damn, I might have to get me a Model 1 someday, I don't think I'd have the patience to time it right on my Saturn xD

  • @strykah92: There is the option of modchip for other Sega saturn models. One of the few sega saturn modchip sellers are Racketboy and Sega Style.

  • With the swap trick you can play any burned iso Saturn game.

  • H. Allen2: You can burn iso or bin but you need the cue file for the image file, you can make the cue with the sega cue maker, the cue is important to burn sega saturn ganes.

  • @strykah92 People, don't SNATCH the discs like the guy in the video. That is totally unnecessary and damages the Saturn. You can casually swap the discs and keep your Saturn working for years and avoid scratching the discs.

  • @Bluestreakteam ur welcome

  • @Bluestreakteam No you cant. Sega saturn only reads cds not dvds

  • where is the sensor where you tape it down to fool the saturn into thinking the door is always open?

  • I have 2 Japanese consoles, I have an Action Replay cartridge, so I can play any region games. I've never had any problems with it.

  • How long do you think the clutch in your car would last being treated like this? Either get an action replay and buy japanese games, or get a modchip if you really must pirate.

  • "Voilla!" i've only gotten this to work once. I pretty much stopped bothering with it.

  • Good luck buying a new Saturn when it fucks up.

  • For the love of fuck D:,this could be a litle hard, right? owo,I mean, you can break easily the disc, well,I think, looks hard xD

  • This is a good trick, but only do this if you have to. If done too many times, you'll burn your Saturn's motar out.
