I've probably been watching the Young Ones longer than you've been able to walk upright on your own, so yes, I have seen it. You are the one who is missing the whole point of the rant. Old people tend to be right leaning, young people tend to be left leaning. He is ranting at an old man who is obviously a lot more conservative than he is. Acquire an intellect that allows you to discern more than what's on the surface before attempting to argue with anyone in the future.

Ummm...RIck is a lefty. He hates Thatcher and the Conservatives so you're obviously wrong. You don't have to be on the right to be against giving money away. Rick hates the fact that young people end up financing the old, and since most young people are lefties and most old people are more conservative, you do the math. His rant is an anti-right one, not an anti-left one as he against the young on the left supporting the elderly on the right.
