Actually yes you can, just like the Samsung Saga you can easily unlock it through Verizon tech support to work with any gsm carrier in the world including T-Mobile and AT&T.
I already played with the Imagio and all in all its just like some people have said a regular htc phone with small upgrades like 5mp camera and 3.5 audio jack. other than that its pretty much the same as an htc touch, which you can upgrade with windows 6.5 rom. the Droid on the other hand it not being windows does show differences in the interface which seem nicer but its a matter of choice.
