HOW I LOST MY RELIGION

An exerpt from the diaries of a Good Catholic girl who finally lost her faith, despite a childhood lived in a very strict, ultra-Catholic, Italian American middle class family, complete with 12 years of Catholic School and a mother who attended Holy Mass daily. Eventually she was no longer willing to play along, pretending to believe just to please her parents, grand parents or some long-gone ancestors who are not likely to be lsoing any sleep over this girl's decision to henceforth attend church only for weddings, baptisms and funerals.

@agriculturaltrading Did you WATCH the video? It's a coming out story. Most people start out being force fed some kind of religion, then gradually lose faith as they reach the age of reason...like 12.

@multitalentino ...i watched it, obviously...but, with all due respect, i would like to correct your reply..."most people are exposed to some kind of religion without any real dialog and then when the independence comes, ya leave, just as you leave home for that new apartment...and then we spend the rest of our lives trying to fill the empty space with a new car, new job, the next thing...but when it's quiet, we all wonder what life is supposed to be for and what is happiness"...
