Haunting, sweet, sad. soulful, beautiful, powerful, rich, lush, melodic and darn near if not the best score of all time!

@SemperAugustus86 giazotto tried and failed to take credit for abanoni's adagio in g minor, because it wasn't published. so shut it up.

Beautiful song. Makes me very sad when i hear it though. It also reminds me of the movie Gallipoli. I remember a few years ago at Gallipoli on the dawn service they played it. Very fitting

Can you just hear Jesus calling you through this piece of music?
The Lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Adagio in G minor stays with you forever: I can remember first hearing it in the early 1970s as background music for cable TV channels early in the morning. Also hearing and seeing it in films: Rollerball 1975 and TV shows Space 1999 (Dragons Domain) same year. The arrangement envelopes one completely: It sees and reflects the human world, and much more.
Nice pictures here--proper.

I remember hearing it as the theme music at the end of the movie Galipoli - I've never forgotten it - those scenes and the musical accompaniment haunt me still.

@jeanpcollins I saw that movie at 13 years of age. Even now the reason I've come to here this song is because of the impact it had on me so many years ago. I'm 42.

@optionout I'm with you there - I can still see those scenes at the end of Gallipoli, and it's been years since I saw it, but the music fit the emotion of the movie so perfectly - great impact!

Jean, Thanks very much for posting this lovely version. I discovered it only recently and haven't been able to stop listening to it. Absolutely divine! And I love your choice of beautiful pictures to go with it. Thanks again.
