great video man....im from argentina...im luthiere only guitars , bases, and drums,,,but i m startin with this wih a friend....and we dont know how to get the body.....here in misiones is something called porongo and its seems to be the same

wow too! Hi, nice meet you Mr. Simonggill and I wanna thanks for upload this video. So, I`m luthier (just guitars and basses) and musician. I live in Argentina and I really want to build my own sitar but the problem is the information about this wonderful instrument. If you can give me some information I`ll really so much thanks!

is the botom part clay or wood

@wazii6 The smaller 'travel' sitars in the clip are all wood (they are flat and smaller in size). The standard sitars are made with gourds, which you can see in various stages of preparation in the clips.
