@RyanteGamer @IFailAtSniping It works with every bigger programming language, but java is a nice example, even multiplatform so you don't discriminate Linux and Mac if you have Windows.

C++ is nice too. Many say it's harder to learn, but this isn't absolutely true(I learned it kinda fast). It's not multiplatform(the same version wouldn't work for mac, windows and linux), but faster and because of this very suitable for game development.

I also heard some good things about C#.

I've only programmed a textbased roleplaygame in Basic on my old C128. It made me shit bricks. But since then... never again.
