This video, made by a supporter of the April 23rd vigils, is a memorial tribute to the 100 sled dogs that were cruelly slaughtered in Whistler BC on April 21st and 23rd, 2010 after business slowed down. The song is by Canadian singer songwriter Sarah McLachlan, a huge SPCA, WSPCA and ASPCA supporter. You can buy the song by clicking to the right of this text. • That's so brutal... I hate animal cruelty...

R.I.P. little furry ones. Q~Q -like if you agree...-

  • How on earth could anyone look into the eyes of those magnificent creatures and even consider lifting a finger to harm them? The laws MUST be altered to prevent such a travesty from EVER happening again.

A very touching and beautiful tribute. Thank you.

  • These animals are one of many divine creatures in the animal kingdom. It is such a disgrace and disgust that these so called ‘individuals’ are able to plan and carry out such a horrific act like that. Shame on them! Obviously they are not afraid of God! They are selfish hypocrites!

  • I was so horrified by this- the mushers I run w/would never even consider this as an option. Our dogs are our family members. If I see them on the rainbow bridge w/my fur kids, they are more then welcome w/me. There are many mushers who are looking for an extra dog that don't want to breed and many beginners who could use an experienced dog to get them started. This did NOT have to happen...many of us in the states and in rescue groups would have happily driven North to pick these dogs up.

  • I am a dog lover and i was so appaled by the massacre of those helpless huskie. I hope the bastards rot in hell for eternity. I think those people should be shot and ther throat slits like those huskies. REST IN PEACE my furry angels. You will never be forgottenin our heart and souls.

  • This is hearbreaking I shed a tear for these precious animals and all animals who are mistreated in our world today. We must be their voice. This evening I will light a candle in their memory. This incident ruined what the olympics meant to me it just wasn't worth it.

  • rest in peace // aww , my heart is aching to see their innocent eyes !! X[

  • there owners deserve to be kilked tge same way and so do all the peiple involved so tgat they understand :'(

  • R.I.P beautiful friends. and to the people that did this- "what goes aaround comes around" I hope you all get whats coming to you in the worst way.

  • Rest In Peace little babys....be love you....

  • This is a wonderful tribute to 100 beautiful souls who have left this world through unthinking, heartless cruelty. I think the people involved should be jailed in cells lined with pictures of these beautiful creatures, and they should be forced to watch this video and videos of the vigils every day. They MUST understand the enormity of what they have done!

  • Thank you for making this video. I read about this atrocity last month. I only wish I had been present when that piece of Shi- did what he did. I can only hope that someone shows him the same consideration that he showed those innocent dogs.
