Oh and no need to reply I just wanted to leave you with the hope I have in the country (Though the Bible says not to place your trust in man but in God.) Also another anti catholic verse I guess. I just find hope in that people actually do care that the government is turning into a monster :)
Ahh sorry if I implied that you did. Anyway, yeah pretty much what conservitive shows are doing... Using their freedom of speech :) Which in some cases is very enlightening. I don't think anything bad has occured from their "teaparty uprising gangs." or whatever they call it... Well unless you're in the government or are one of their minions. I think people are using their freedom more than they have for a long time now. And some of it is bad naturally, but in the long run it will be good.
I did not call "this dude" MY Father. It is captioned as his title. But thanks for the diversion. People (Pat Robertson too) are allowed to voice their observations in this country (at this time). I agree, anything can mass for punishments and blessings to us. It is hard/impossible to know the mind of God. We can only read (& study) the Bible and try to understand, believe, have hope & when we cannot understand, have faith.
Did you know the Bible says not to call anyone Father except for your Father who is in Heaven? Specifically God :) Anyway, I know this dude is wrong, but the fact that something happened three centuries before does not mean Haiti suffered an earthquake because of it. Now, If love was money then Robertson would be in the clear, but it is not. And I would say if someone said "slavery was punishment." it would be considered a racist comment. Yes, AIDS too! I guess anything can pass as punishment.
This Father is wrong. The fall of Adam was because he disobeyed God - for whatever reason. Disobeying is called sin. Pat Robertson was making an observation about an historical event~ Voodoo is not praying to God. Please see 1st Commandment! Robertson has said he loves the Haitian people, has raised money, given help & supplies to Haiti. Operation Blessing. This young Father is making plenty of judgments & not with love about Pat Robertson. We are all sinners. God may do what He wants.
" Hey you Hatians! Your mother and son and leaders have died because three hundred years ago they revolted against french control!" Yes, very kind. It's pure irrelivant to what happened in Haiti, and to say it was intellent just to even mention it as being "the reason it happened." shows a lack of thought, or in other words... Unsympathic thought. Love? Is love really that lthoughtless? Anyway, I am sure many people have sympathy for Haiti... I know I do! But... earthquakes 300 years ago?
Pat Robertson is VERY sympathetic to Haiti and his organization has given money, help and supplies to Haiti. Because he recounted "legend" as history (it is recounted in books as non-fiction), people accuse him of not being sympathetic to Haiti. If it is true, it is something to consider. Pat Robertson said what he said in love. What he said he meant to help. He wants good for Haiti.
