The Game Plan For Girls Sports - Highlights

Hey! You Up There! is proud to be a partner of Team Up For Youth, a non-profit organization that creates and supports after-school sports opportunities for underprivileged youth, with a special focus on increasing girls' participation in sports. TUFY recently hosted an event called "The Game Plan for Girls' Sports: Igniting a Practice of Change." Participants included parents, program leaders, volunteer coaches and others who make it possible for low-income youth to experience quality after-school sports programs. VIP guests included track and field legend Jackie Joyner-Kersee, WNBA star Yolanda Griffith and Natalie Randolph, one of the first female coaches of a high school varsity football team. A Hey! You Up There! crew was on hand for the opening night reception. We filmed the event and our 13 year old reporter interviewed some of the VIP's.
