You learn to surf in Rockaway Queens, NY or Long Beach, NY. I surf at both beaches every weekend.

I am a pretty good surfer now. I can floaters and cutback and snap. I am 15 and black and it is awkward in Santa cruz haha. But its cool now!

@niceprince Anywhere there is whitewater waves. Just get a 9'6 longboard, learn to paddle and pop up, learn the timing and let the ocean do the rest.

I'm 15 years old and I'm a black surfer, I surf at T street or 204's or Huntington and I know exactly how off setting it is to know how it seems there aren't very many black surfers... at all. But looking at this, it's very encouraging, definitely. Thanks for it, I can't wait for the actual documentary to come out.
