Hi, I'm Alec Baldwin.
-
@mate6mty Correction: the song -- words and music -- is by Lesley Duncan. It's one of the very few songs Elton John recorded that wasn't written or co-written by or for him. Lesley Duncan first recorded it as the b-side of a single in 1969; she re-recorded it for her first album Sing Children Sing in 1971, the same year EJ did a cover version of it (duetting with her) on Tumbleweed Connection. There's also a live version of them singing it at the Royal Festival Hall, London in 1974.
