@worldwarrior13 Thank you for responding and the description it helps a lot and it gives others an idea of what you are training for in real life as well. Thanks again and God Bless all who serve.

@RoguePhoenix6 You are supposed to go over it. It simulates an obstruction in the river with possible entrapments under it. The woman on the two point system is pulling a victim off the underside of the bridge, it is an exercise in teamwork and the use of what we call a "live bait" harness to keep the rescuer tethered. The last segment shows them trying to swim across the rough water to get to the protected eddy formed on the downstream side of the junction. You use eddies as safe havens.

@RoguePhoenix6 I understand the first part like the purpose. I think the first part is thebest but great training overall.

Can someone explain what the purpose of the first section with the plastic log in the water. Are you suppose to hold on to it or what? If you had a description of each part that would be great. And Great job with the video. Thanks

It is definitely worth the challenge, and will gain you skills for life in the way of understanding ropes and mechanical advantage. Find a class and go for it!

I took my SRT Advanced class there in 2005. I wish they would host more classes there, it is an excellent learning environment for flood control channels.

It was a great location. I think they only do them every couple year there!
