Our Wiring Harness Repair Kit makes fast, secure wiring connections a snap. Just crimp a bullet to each wire end using the included Bullet Crimping Tool. Push bullet ends into the connector sleeve. Snap firmly into place with the Closing Tool for a permanent repair. It's that easy. If wiring repair always seems to be a little more work than it should be, you'll want have this kit on hand for electrical emergencies and planned repairs.The high quality, Bullet Crimping Tool ratchets closed to put a secure hexagonal crimp in bullets. The Closing Tool presses bullets firmly into both single- and two-wire connectors. Kits come with or without the tools. Tools also available separately.

  • Once the crimp is finished the tool doesn't automatically release. I don't know why they designed it this way because your idea is better, however it is the way it is. The release knob must be used. Perhaps it is so you can store the tool in the closed position without needing a separate locking mechanism to keep it closed.

  • Perhaps you're not squeezing hard enough. Mine certainly does automatically release. It was purchased from a different source, but it's definitely the same tool. I've used dozens of other type ratcheting crimpers as well and they all automatically release. You can easily store the tool at the last click before release.

  • Why on Earth would he use the ratchet release knob before the crimp was finished? The release knob is for aborting a crimp or to release a jammed tool. At the end of the crimp cycle, the ratchet will automatically release.

  • I've never had the bullets fall off, it is the wire that frays or breaks.

    How about some colored wire in the kit?

    Where do we get the correct colored wires---brown, white/ blue, white/green etc.

  • is this way wather resistant?
