Fortress Forever Pyro Firestarter

FF is based off of TFC (Team Fortress Classic) which was a HL1 Mod.


This video has been a long time in making. I just never got around to it till now. I recorded all the video for it when I had a 17inch CRT and could only run at 1024x768 so the quality isn't the greatest, but I wanted to use this footage because there was some specific shots in there I wanted to use. Maybe someday I will remake it with newer footage but for now this will do. All the footage was gathered from dozens of demos I took at the time from 2.1 or 2.2 of FF I think (been a while)

The song is by Gene Simmons. Its a cover version of the song Firestarter by The Prodigy. I'm not a big fan of Prodigy, but when I heard this version of the song I knew it would fit perfectly with footage of the pyro from Fortress Forever.

This is my most heavily edited video to date. I tried to have the scenes match up with the song as best I can. I think I did pretty good, though it would be nice if it was higher quality. :)

@XTGNecro Yes its quite easy to "fly". Pointing the flamethrower down and jumping allows you to float a little (you'll go up a bit then sink down). If you happen to trimp jump at the same time, you go much further. Now put a grenade or something like that under your butt and while the landing might not be soft you can go clear across a map. (though everyone sees you coming) lol

@shade270 When hes yelling Fire I purposely held down the fire button and ran around. It was for the effect. Other then that no, I only hold it down when flying/falling, when I'm killing someone, or when I am actively looking for a spy that I know is in the area.

Nice vid man. I have had that Prodigy song in the back of my head as a pyro vid for a long time. I don't really like this version (Gene Simmons? wtf?) but I'm still glad it was done. Nice kills, my fav was the circle strafe of the Heavy @ 2:10. He looked like he had a good amount of health to take off. gj

@viliussmproductions Kinda agree, now FF make Pyro totaly useless, scouts are megaly fast and heavy now have airblast. It's more about Bunny Hoping and pick ups only.
