The grandeur and severity of this rhetoric (the piece itself, in fact) does not translate well to a 6 string guitar - in spite of this great maestro's considerable exertions. The best version I've heard was done on Seon records in the 1970s by Eugene Dombois... and fortunately here at YouTube... though anonymously.

This is a wonderful album, as well as being my favorite of all of his guitar recordings. But the one piece that really stands out the Passacaglia...but really, the entire recording is worth having//

I'm actually transcribing this piece from a Lute score. There's so much beauty from Weiss's music. This version from Bream is very inspiring. Baroque for the win!
