@mulletsrule3388 The East Germans had some of the best engineers there have ever been, japan took the many of they're ideas mainly, the Europeans were racing well before Japan came in the game., if you watch the "des nations" you might find these bikes are still pretty quick, i have seen twin-shock riders beat pretty good modern motocross riders. so you gonna say you could take on the likes of Brad lackey, would prob give you a run for your money.

@mulletsrule3388 actually they aren't tbh, you cant just say jap bikes are the best. best in what way ? if it wasn't for the Europeans we would have Reed valves, expansion chambers etc etc, and if you haven't realised these are some of the adaptations that have allowed 2 strokes to be competitive
