So why would God have to ask where they are? Are you kidding? He's supposed to be God. More evidence the story you are reading is just that, a story that likely is fiction.

@supermandan85 God asked where they were for the same reason that parents ask thier kids where they were. They want to see what answer the kids will give them, in other words the truth or a lie. Blessings

Perhaps you can explain why Christians are filled with hatred and kill, when the Bible book forbids both?
I think next week I shall read some more of the Bible book and start again with a new religion which honours the commandments. They are fine principles.

I think the writer here is referring to God and the heavenly council (angels) rather than a Trinity. The reason I hold to this, is because the Trinity established in the Council of Nicaea states that God is only one, but is manifested in three persons. You can say the writer is referring to all three persons of the Trinity, but I do not think that is the case since God is always used singularly.
