You MUST BOIL the water first. (and let it cool down). Google "netti pot deaths" if you don't believe me.

I wouldn't usewater straight from a tap, it has bleach and other contaminants

in it. Using filtered water, boiled and left to cool is a much better option,

since the idea is to remove pollutants and viruses from your sinuses.

@cryogeneric The reason you add salt is so that when you do the neti pot it doesent burn,it burns with just straight water,trust me i been doing the neti for almost a month ive also snorted straight water and it burned like hell.

antibiotics don't kill pain, they kill infections and have been proven to work. BRITISH scientists figured out how they worked back in the 40's. if you were in pain you should have gone back to your doctor and told him/her that you were in pain and pain medication would have been prescribed. I don't doubt the the neti pot doesn't work. INFACT i have one my self i us it when ever i have a cold.
