My mom found Peter living outside near her house and adopted him. About a year later he was diagnosed with mouth cancer .. when it became too painful for him to eat, my mom had him euthanized. He was a beautiful, sweet kitty. I'm so glad my mother could give him some comfort at the end of his life. She must have tried feeding him 15 different kinds of food a day until she would find the one he felt like eating. And then she would do it all over again the next day. He is missed.
