Evolver has capability as an effector. It can use external audio signals to trigger the envelopes. For example, triggering the filter envelope by external audio signals, it makes auto-wah like sounds.
those effects are best used in more subtle way and with less busy signals. i had the MEK and I got some of the coolest most original guitar effects ever. thats what i would suggest, if you havent tried it.

Input hack is a very crude bit crusher, there is just too much features to decrease audio quality in this unit (bit crusher, noise, distorsion, feedback loops). It's not that I don't like digital synths, but I feel the DSP algorithms in there were chosen because they were easy to program. And they are very simple, disapointing.

so is can the dsi be used alone or would i have to buy like an electrib to go with?

dont forget you can set the sequencer to step on input trigger. its great for using evolver as ann effector.

to bad the filter goes in steps of the evolver

really great job. This box is so versatil with the ext input.
I love the feedback feature. As if Dave Smith had made a circuit bent analog synth.

yes its realy great 2 use your evolver as fx u can sinq the sequencer 2 your drumbox and let the seqeunce modulate your filters/delay/anything.
the input hack is something like a overdrive i think decreases the bits or somthing:) i use it for my 606 great fun:D
