@Spindry96 ..You would need to experience a simple O.of B.E., not an NDE to understand just how possible it is for the soul to be apart from the body. You would realise that it had nothing to do with dying.

While Christians feel comforted by imagining its Jesus, remember that people from other religions would rather imagine Buddha or Krishna. These are people or beings in which this Light has permeated more than others. In the 21st Century lets move to a more scientific understanding. We do not need the historical baggage.

Perhaps it was Jesus Christ you met in Heaven. I've always thought Jesus might show himself in various ways to people. Your description of the man you met in Heaven, even though it doesn't physically match the stereotypical Jesus, has every other characteristic people seem to be reporting about Jesus: a kind face, authoritativeness, kindness, protectiveness. I really think you saw Jesus! :)
