This brings back good memories..I live in a 7% mormon populated area..and we went out on a youth activity one night,playing same bigger biggest collecting items for charity.We got to one door and said our little speel.The mom went and got her donations.Then her daughter and her friend came to the door.The friend was from one of my classes@skool.She was like,are you guys gonna steal this stuff.Then Nick said Havent you ever heard of the mormon mafia?Lame story,but still brings back good memories

you need to do some more reading on Hughes final days. he was neglected and they were taking advantage of his sickness. O.C.D..... one story is they got him out of he country and headed to Mexico . they did this to by tricking Hughes into believing the Dr's. weren't going to be giving anymore codeine.  theres more to the story; like i said do some more research on it. not saying it to be a smart ass. its very fascinating.. Ive been i Hughes enthusiast for sometime.

@davidallenroth I don't care that this comment is nearly a year old, this must be corrected. Hughes died of natural causes. The term 'Mormon Mafia' was an unofficial label that was put on his closest attendants in his later years, due to the fact that the great majority of them were Mormons. The reason for this was that in his declining years Hughes only trusted Mormons. They didn't kill him, they merely helped him as he lost his grip on both his physical health, and his sanity.
