@amidthephantomsrose ~ It's on TCM right now, and I agree that it's one of the most beautiful movies ever made. And that theme music gives me chills, every time I see the film!

I Love Leslie Caron! Such a gifted actress! no other woman could pull off the roles she's played in. From Fanny, Gigi, Lili, The glass slipper, to an American in Paris! Such wonderful performances!!! Simply breathtaking. Even her comic performance with Carey Grant in Father Goose!
Thank you for posting this movie. I could totally relate to Fanny and the man I loved looked so much like Horst. I also wanted him to return to give his child a name :-( This movie is unforgettable.

@amidthephantomsrose Think I'm dreaming! I just watched this again, only because it will always be one of my favorites. Then, moments later I saw your comment! I'm so grateful to hear from you. I so agree with you; I, too wish every one would see it. These fine performers are really unique! Thanks for your gracious, and knowledgeable comment!

A beautiful movie. Music, scenes, cast, all excellent. Being gay, needless to say, I immediately fell in love with Horst Buchholz, but the entire cast was extremely charming. Thank you for posting this video.

@tahoemack Hi tahoemack! Thanks for your kind message. As for Mr. Buchholz, I'm certain he had an incredible effect on many, moi aussi! I've been told that someone has posted, in chapters, this entire film on YT. I'm honored that you singled out my little effort! I'd like to step back in time and see Marseilles during that era. These days I'd need a "sedan-chair" to climb the stairs to Notre-Dame! Best to you!
