  • @davidbenjeshua I'll respond in a personal message, if that's all right with you, so we don't disturb the other viewers with our conversation. :)

  • @TheBlueorigami Yes, exactly. (To both questions). Question:Have you read the whole Bible, cover to cover? 2)Could you explain to me how you understand the prophecy in Daniel9:24-27? When was the temple destroyed? When was it rebuilt? How long is "70 sevens"? Who are the people that destroyed the temple the second time? Look at Deuteronomy 28:64, what would happen to da juice if they disobeyed God. It happened right after they disobeyed Jesus! (Titus Vespasianus)

  • @davidbenjeshua Well, I looked that prophecy up at your recommendation, and it seemed rather similar to various passages from the Qu'ran and Hindu texts. You're not scared of anything from those holy books, right? Because you know they're not true. Likewise, if I am to be intimidated by such prophecies, then I'd first have to be convinced that they were founded in reality, right? :)

You seem like a smart guy. If you'd like to continue in personal messages, I'd love to discuss this with you.

  • @TheBlueorigami Have you considered and examined the prophecy in Daniel 9:24-27?

  • @TheBlueorigami Fair enough, your definition of atheism. There are so many atheists who were raised "christian". I think that when you are truly a Christian, it's impossible to forsake God. You may sin, but I believe you can never deny Jesus Christ, if you once were a Christian. Many who call themselves Christians, never really were Christians. The Kingdom of God is like a pearl of great price, said Jesus: WHEN YOU FIND IT, you sell EVERYTHING else, in order to have that pearl.

  • @davidbenjeshua Well, considering that I was raised Christian and I know in full the penalty for not believing, I really don't think that belief in him is something that fits neatly into a back pocket. ;) And of course it's impossible to KNOW that God doesn't exist. It's impossible to KNOW that I don't have an invisible dragon in my garage that you can't see or feel or hear, right? But that doesn't mean it's likely to exist. Atheism means you don't believe in a God, not that you KNOW. :)

  • To lean on the everlasting arms means to walk honouring God in our daily steps, and stop worrying about everything else. As long as we walk with God, we can feel "blessedness", and forget about the world. What have we to fear, if we walk with God? "Though the earth be removed, we shall not fear" says Psalm 46. "Though we walk in the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil" says Psam 23. "We will not be afraid of the arrow that flies by day, or the destruction by night" says Psalm 91.

  • @sugarydonkey I think Alan Jackson means what he is singing, though. I have read his wife's book "It's all about him". and I think the Jackson couple is "leaning". I am very ignorant, regarding music, though. From what sources can we learn that a spiritual song sounds bad if not played in 3/4 time? I need to read your sources, so, that way, I can start to dislike this version, as it (I guess) corresponds.

  • @TheBlueorigami I don't think you will ever find an atheist, brother. All of them know God, they only try to suppress his thought from their minds. The Bible makes me think atheists do not exist... more specifically, Romans 1:18-32. Also, being an atheist is technically impossible: Since any given person knows at the most say 10% of all available knowledge, it's impossible for them to KNOW that God is not in the 90% that they don't know. KNOWING that God isn't, is impossible.

  • all churches need to get back our love and praise to our lord and savior we need these songs to help up lift our soul don't get me wrong i like the new but it is called praise and worship not falling asleep
