This is how you make Thai Roti! In this case, Roti (more appropriately a kind of paratha) is a fried flat bread originating in India that brought over to Thailand. This version here is topped with sweetened condensed milk and sugar and is a wonderfully crispy and sweet snack. If memory serves me correctly, this vendor was selling one roti for 10 baht (About 30-40 cents).. Oh and...this was supposed to be a quick 3-4 min video...until 2 others came to order some (as seen in the video) making this almost 10 mins of roti cooking. This was taken in the old Cement Thai neighborhood, Bang Su district in front of a 7-11 (hence the continual door chime noise).
