Our Rural Canada Matters strategy will provide Canadians, no matter where they live, with the same level of access to essential services. Watch this video to learn about our five major initiatives to:

1. Attract more doctors, nurses and nurse practitioners to rural communities.
2. Bring 100% high-speed internet coverage to rural Canada.
3. Restore the rural mail service cut under the Conservatives.
4. Reward volunteer firefighters.
5. Create Canada's first national food policy.

  • can anyone tell me what the liberals have plans for in terms of tuition fees at universities or what they are planning to do for ppl around that age group (im 20 years old)

  • @iisdan Really? GET REAL. Yeah, let's tear up the Earth even MORE so we can pollute it and cover it in concrete. Not everyone likes the rural lifestyle, but it is not a bad or harmful thing to have NATURE in the world. Wow.

  • @iisdan Well cities are very polluted. I don't think that agriculture near polluted areas is good. Another thing, there is no place for agriculture near cities. If we have to build in height our buildings, do you really think there is enough space for huge fields xD ? Perhaps working on easier transportation towards rural areas ?

  • @iisdan

should be, yes, however, there is not enough potential profilts to motivate private industry to hook up places like Pierceland or Cherry Grove.

  • @iisdan ...are you serious? No politician in any party would take a stance this foolish. Come back to the conversation when you understand the difference between a rural town and a federal project.

  • can you drop the gun registry please.

  • 1. Internet should be done by the ISP's companies not the government.

    2. Why don't they focus on starting more hydroponic farming near cities and no have to waist so much money having rural areas? I used to live in a rural area and its a waste of money to have them. PROMOTE CITIES!
