Does anyone know in which way(s) elliott was in to the occult. To me it seems he obviously was. He seems to have believed in a type of pre-ordained destiny, especially for himself.

freebird is a song by lynyrd skynrd, and it is, for whatever reason, kind of a concert stigma to shout it out as a song request, regardless of genre or performer. i don't know why it's like that but it is. of course, in this case, it's a joke from the fan, and elliott responds with the offhand "fuckin' freebird..." because he's taken back by the fact that someone said it at his show.
