SCA Meridies CUT & Thrust Practice.

Just a short fight between Leopold der Wulf (on the left) and THL Ursus Falkegrimmon the right. Both from the Shire of Vulpine's Reach in Chattanooga, TN. We're fighting with the cut and thrust style which is relatively new to the SCA. In it you are able to thrust, draw cut, push cut, tip cut, grab blades and perform percussive hits. Fighting takes place at 3/4th speed to avoid damaging your opponent.

We have fencing in the SCA, but thats a new thing we're trying called Cut & Thrust.

Unlike rapier which has (for the most part) just killing blows with the point or draw cut, Cut & Thrust has killed with percussive hits, point, draw cuts, push cuts and tip cuts.

Its alot closer to the historical way of fighting and alot of fun.
