I have a clear acrylic version of this Screwpull, and it works great. I received it as a gift about six years ago. It's by far the best wine opener around, even easier to use than the rabbit style openers. The only thing is the screw was coated with Teflon or something like that, and seems to have worn out. It's starting to feel like there's more resistance than I remembered when it was new. A tiny little bit of cork does fall into the wine.
i can't thank you ENOUGH! my friend got this for me and I've been sitting here trying to figure out how to use it & couldn't find any instructions/videos about it, until I came across yours! Thanks SOOO much!
One more thing - It works well on bottles with straight opening, but doesn't fit around bottles with a flare out opening.

Doesnt some of the cork fall down in the wine since the spiral goes through the entire cork?
Sorry my bad english :)
