2009 WRX Open Downpipe LOUD!!!

Taking a lap around the block halfway through my exhaust install. This is just stock downpipe and nothing after that. It sounded so much like an external wastegate. It was almostly unbearably loud. The pull in the video is 2nd revved WOT to 6500rpm and 3rd to around 5k. The backfire sounded so sweet but again, not bearable if it was like that all the time. I'll very soon have a nice exhaust system on there.

@JackTheMetalHead lol, ur not too far off. its internal WG but its literally right there in visible sight when the DP is open so it makes sense how it sound like an EWG

BTW, this was with the stock DP being open. I cant even imagine what it would sound like with an open catless bellmouth 4" DP

Sounds good. Though if I'm being honest, my Invidia N1 is just as loud. Losing the catback doesn't change the exhaust note nearly as much as people think it will. Though this is definitely a cheaper option

hope you dont always drive it without an exhaust, easy way to get carbon monoxide poising....just saying
