Part of history- its a crap shoot now but interesting to see nevertheless.

@dmora97tt They mean the same thing really, and both are corrent names for it. It's just most commonly called a Twin Lens Reflex.

You can take long exposures by using the timer rather than using a cable release. Not all TLR cameras have the cable release socket.

Isnt it called a TLR and not a Dual lens.

What kinds of differences are there when using 35mm film in a TLR camera. For example, the Yashica 635 model is compatible with both 120 and 35mm film. There are adapting parts such as a gate and different spools for the 35mm film compatibility. Is there any difference in the overall image quality when shooting with 35mm film in a TLR camera versus 120 film?

Essential parts of a TLR MF camera.

FYI to everyone, not all medium format camera's are like that.
If you want a more practical MF camera, take a look at 645's MF camera's.
Thanks for all the wonderful comments everyone!! Yes, this camera is also known as a TLR, or twin-lens reflex camera. I have heard dual-lens reflex and medium format used within the field. While teaching high school photography, these were the cameras available. Personally, I also use a Hasselblad....an amazing medium format piece of equipment. All medium format cameras can be adjusted to shoot with 35mm film as well. The benefit of using 120 film is that you will have greater quality imagery.
