@bates1972 This guy was like the most unapreciated of the Sun artists. He could do that "Rockabilly" crap that Phillips wanted, but he could have been a jazz guy much like Cash and lewis were great country artists.

I got that CD too...I think I was in H.S. when I got it. For years I had looked 4 "The Most Beautiful Girl", but enjoyed other findings until I found it. Saw him live in I think 1987 @ Showboat in A.C. N.J. @ Elvis tribute. He is one of my favs 4 sure :)

I grew up on his stuff. I guess I'm one of the few who purchased the cd, "Pictures and Paintings". That album was Charlie pure & simple. How he got lumped into the country music category back in the 70's will always perplex me. But Lyle Lovett was done the same way. Hope his family is doing alright. I miss him.
