Burying The Truth: Burying Schapelle Corby

Many Australians saw Schapelle Corby's human rights being trampled upon with their own eyes. They saw the nature of the show trial for themselves: the refusal to test the drugs for country of origin, the refusal to fingerprint, the judge who had never acquitted anyone, and subsequently even the burning of the evidence so that it could never be used to free her.

They saw that her testimony and whole demeanor were clearly those of an innocent person, and in contrast they saw the shambolic pretence of judicial procedure in which evidence was simply an irritant and a deflection from the pre-ordained process. They then saw a vengeful and barbaric sentence of 20 YEARS awarded. 20 years in conditions barely imaginable.




This was visible and open to all. The cat was out of the bag.

But for the Australian Government, their strategic relationship with Indonesia trumps Schapelle Corby's human rights every time. This was potentially disastrous for them.

Enter the Australian media: ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation), Seven Network, Nine Network, etc. Enter the press: Fairfax Media Limited (SMH - Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, etc), News Corporation (The Australian, The Herald Sun, The Daily Telegraph, etc), and so on. Enter headline chasing, circulation seeking, cheque book journalism. Enter towing the government line. Enter distortion and smear. Enter the hiding of the truth, which you SAW for yourself in 2004/5.


Meanwhile, Schapelle suffers. She lies clinically depressed in her tiny cell, with others, day after day, week after week, year after year. Along with the truth, she is being buried, not just by a corrupt and ruthless foreign regime, but by her own nation's media.

This film provides an overview of the insidious media process. It outlines the methodology used, and the approach adopted to influence YOUR perception: to make you forget the facts - the facts you saw with your own eyes.


Australia: open your eyes again. Recall what you actually saw, and recall what you know. See through the veneer which is being pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth. Differentiate the facts from the smear and innuendo which you have now been fed for years.

Someone's life does actually depend upon it.

What a harrowing & tragic video. How can such injustice could be carried out on any human being? Thank you for putting the Facts video together. There is so much rubbish out there that we need to shed light on all the lies. This is a tragic case of how the evil doings of the news media (not sure it could be rightfully called that-tabloid press sounds better) have condemned the life of Schapelle & her family. We must continue to be the voice of reason, the voice of justice, the voice of freedom!

Mainstream Australians are in such a deep sleep that even events which concern their own welfare slip part their hypnotized brains, feeding them propaganda and innuendo about someone else is a piece of cake. Damn them for accepting the lies of their bought and sold media. Remember Lindy Chamberlain, they did the same to her and her husband and some of the fools still believe that Lindy is guilty even though she's been cleared.

Thank you for working to get her out. Myself I tell all I met not to go to Bali or anywhere in Indonesia and I have been successfull to stear their tourists away. Keep Schapelle in your prayers and make sure we get her out of that rats nest.

Perhaps the Austalian Government has no brass!!! Or maybe they need the money!!! Either way you look at it, the Australian Government is ignoring this, hoping it will go away - but who will be next? Aren't we suppose to defend our own people? and yet australians still travel to the country for a vacation; maybe if all aussies stayed away the government of indonesia would take this case seriously, too. if australians don't stand behind chapelle, why should the indonesian government care? anyone who travels to indonesia for a good time deserves what they get, in my opinion. you are enabling a corrupt regime by spending money there
