In part 3 of this interview with Bill Hayes Kyoshi, Shobayashi Ryu of the Eizo Shimabukuro lineage, Hayes Sensei describes how he has seen Okinawan evolve over the course of many years. He touches upon the ways in which his original training is becoming less and less prominent, replaced by tournament play.
Also discussed is Hayes Sensei's personal experience with tournaments, including his well established reputation as a high level Sai kobudo practitioner.
