I have seen a concert, and I thought than I go out from the concert hall. He can't play well, doesn't know which scales are good, he plays shit notes when he plays fast.(but the other musicians are professional).
As a trumpeter who loves many styles myself, I wonder how Erik goes on so unnoticed by the jazz community? Most of us jazzheads know his music, but not many beyond. He's a true renaissance trumepter. peace
Yeah! Truffaz goes metal.... ala Miles about '74 or so. But Erik has always had his own voice and cranks it up and kicks ass here. Of all his bands this line-up is my favorite. Right on Erik.
