Nick Basok, a retired fishery biologist, explains the difference between a kokanee and coho salmon during a trip to Kawkawa Lake in June. Kawkawa Lake in Hope has a healthy stock of kokanee but also a population of land-locked coho salmon.

  • I have A Cabin there I love to fish there ive done it since i was 5

  • Me and my dad have been going here for years caught about over 50 fish total from this lake very good in the fall and toads come around in the spring which means bass

  • rodney i have recently went on a failed fishing trip to kawkawa lake for kokanee and trout and i witnessed PINK salmon swimming in the shallows by the dock are they native???? or illegally placed there.....they were humpy's and close to spawning with a few females...

  • theres bass in there too and rainbows
