Are CATIA and PRO/E pretty much the same now? Or is CATIA still better?
It seems CATIA V5 borrowed things from PRO/E like the feature tree and stuff like that, but its geometry engine is more intelligent than PRO/E, but PRO/E is more affordable and is still able to create all the same features as CATIA but may need more guidance for complex geometries that CATIA would figure out on its own.
Cams are actually very easy. You simply use the outside edge of the cam part and apply "cam connection" to it in mechanism. Not hard at all. Model overall, however, is impressive.
