At an attempt to Americanize "Zatoichi", this piece of turd was created. "Blind Fury" is a sad attempt to make the great film "Zatoichi Challenged" aka Zatoichi 17 into the at the time modern cinema. Instead what you get is a putrid hot turd on your forehead.

I loved this movie. It was great for a Saturday morning or a road movie in a motel during a trip. There was humor, great action, and a fair amount of drama to make it interesting. Yes, they may have based it on the film Zatoichi, but it isn't a remake or an homage. In other words, I think critics need to lighten up. If you don't like something, that's fine, but don't try to convince others of your opinion.

Ah, this movie was great! Rutger Hauer last movie was Hobo with a shotgun, here he is blind guy with sword. Whats next? Constructionworker with flamethrower?

I won't deny the acting was a little lousy, and the action a little over-the-top, but I actually enjoyed this movie a lot. It was almost like a satire, but at the same time had some really cool scenes.
