You dumbass, he did that to make a good video for us to watch. If he jumped in and died early there would be no more video to watch, and it wouldn't be as interesting; we wouldn't get to see the whole run. Think of it as first person spectator mode.
Didn't you think about why he chose to make the video like this, before you assumed he was a camper? How do you know he always camps when he is not recording for Youtube videos, have you played with him?
