  • Go Tal !!

  • Someone once told me that they thought Tal farlow was a weak chord player. I at the time didn't know enough about him to know that was ridiculous! As seen here. Most of what i'd heard in the beginning was his popular way of playing fully amplified during the single note sections and then turning the volume all the way down or almost so you really don't hear the harmonic tones of the chords as much as you hear the rythmic aspect. It's sounds like a drummer.

  • Fabulous comping skills by Tal farlow.

  • Wonderful clip! I'm actually performing for a film opening (documentary on Tal) on Tal's actual guitar next Wednesday! Lorenzo Destefano, film maker and 20 year friend of Tal Farlow, inherited Tal's Gibson "Tal Farlow". It's an incredibly beautiful instrument. I'm honored to get to play it in concert. I'll try to get it recorded and post a clip here on YouTube. Keep the music playing, jazz guitarists!!!
